During the forced isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to create a way for musicians around the world to collaborate at the creation of new music, as a way to channel our creative forces and connect remotely, as a way of healing through art. Our call for scores, the Creativity Quarantine, gathered over 30 pieces from composers hailing from all over the world, and we committed to premiere and record all of the submissions. This resulted in the release of two Bandcamp albums, and the donation of 100% of the proceeds to solidarity funds for musicians who found themselves in hardships because of the pandemic.

We are now excited to publish a selection of the Creativity Quarantine pieces for flauto d’amore and trumpet in this album. Because of the elusive nature of the flauto d’amore in A, the composers have decided to offer options for their pieces to be performed of C flute or alto, as well.
